The Hakes have made several changes for the important, re-arranged fixture at Paignton tomorrow, but still have a strong group of players.

Plymouth Argaum 5 v 15 St Ives


Last Saturday Head Coach, Paul Thirlby, took his first team squad to Plymouth Argaum for their first game since January 23rd following the recent poor weather conditions.


The game was played on a very sticky pitch which was not helpful to either side and did not make the most entertaining game of rugby to watch from the sideline.

The traditional St Ives Feast day fixture scheduled for the evening of Monday 8th February has been cancelled due to pitch conditions.


Unfortunately there will be no re-scheduled fixture this year so it will be next February that the next playing of this match will take place.


The next rugby for the Hakes will be next Saturday when the Chiefs will entertain Newquay in their next Tribute Cornwall & Devon League fixture.

Few matches played this weekend


The relentless rain has once again played havoc with the Tribute Cornwall & Devon rugby fixture list. Only three games survived the weather. The cancellations included St Ives’ trip to Tavistock. This now means that they have two of their longest journeys away from home still to make, Paignton being the other one.
