St Ives 31 v 17 Tiverton

Last Saturday at a very windy Alexandra Road the St Ives 1st team squad welcomed Devon side Tiverton for their latest Western Counties West league game.

Joint Head coaches Paul Thirlby and Rob Elloway named some changes, including the return of Sean Stevens on the flank.  Jamie Hoskin also returned to the second row.  Joel Stevens started at hooker with Rob Elloway missing through illness. Ben Jenkins also returned at prop....

St Ives has made several changes for this weekend’s encounter with Tiverton. The weather forecast places the fixture in some jeopardy with storm ‘Brian (presumably O’Driscoll)’ taking hold as I write. Our Devonian visitors will want to be sure of a game before they set out on the 135 mile journey. Nevertheless, a preview is called for.

Returning to the changes in the Hakes’ line up; some are forced due to injury, while others give starts to squad...

Tony Stevens was named as a replace...

The recovery after the awful performance at St Austell has been very encouraging. The win at Kingsb...

After a welcome return to form last Saturday, with a bonus point away against struggling Paington, The Hakes make another visit to Devon this week. This is week number five for St Ives, who will make up their one match deficit with a home tie against Sidmouth on Saturday 15th October. This will be the only fixture in the league on that day, an opportunity to establish the true position for St Ives with almost a quarter of the season already gone...
