St Ives 43 v 5 Chard

Last Saturday at Alexandra Road St Ives welcomed Somerset side Chard for their latest Western Counties West league game.

Joint head coach Rob Elloway returned to the side for this match and, along with Paul Thirlby, they named a side including a new signing in the back row; Chris Quick.  Leigh Hocking started at prop with Ben Jenkins moving to the second row.  Sam Carter returned to scrum half with Rhys Brownfield at fly half....

Burnham-on-Sea 20 v 22 St Ives

St Ives made the long trip to Somerset side Burnham-on-Sea last Saturday.  Joint head coach Rob Elloway was unavailable for this match along with the injured Sean Stevens, (broken thumb). Last Saturday St Ives welcomed Truro to Alexandra Road, for an all Cornish derby in their latest Western Counties West league game. Harry Parton, Jamie Prisk and Liam Jolly returned to the side after missing the trip to Torquay last weekend.

PRIOR to St Ives’ game against Devon league rivals Tiverton on Saturday (Oct. 21) Club officials made a special presentation, a donation of £4531.91 to Cancer Research UK. The funds were raised through the proceeds of two charity dinners over the last year and were accepted on Saturday by Local Fundraising Manager, Sophie Barber.
