While many of us have enjoyed the relaxing summer sunshine (now and then), a number of our players have had little rest. Congratulations go to these five players who made the Cornwall Development Squad that played Bude last Saturday.

Right to left: Tom Nicholas, Lewis Thomas, Cameron Bone, Jamie Prisk and Jordan Gott

Meanwhile, Martyn Lawrance and Dillon Loake have represented Cornwall as they won the South West rugby league championship grand final. This was a bit of history in the making, with The Cornish Rebels being the first team to win three successive finals. This hard fought contest at Polson Bridge, Launceston last weekend, brought a 42-22 victory. Martyn, who established himself as top try scorer and line breaker last season for The Hakes, proved to be equally penetrative for the rebels, playing in the second row. He and Dillon are either side of the trophy. Well done!
