Tribute Cornwall Cup 1/4 Finals Draw

St Ives avoid tougher oppostion for next round

St Ives has an away tie against local rivals, Hayle, in the quarter finals of the Tribute Cornwall Cup. Hayle were given a bye to this round. St Ives will go into this game confidently with a recent bonus point win against The Lions. However, they also will be aware that the semi-final stage will present much tougher opposition, wherever it may come from. Therefore, the need for the squad to attend regular training twice weekly and galvanise their obvious and abundant individual talents is paramount for the prospect of a place in the final.

Of note is the Truro loss to Bude. Although not a full team, Truro would have been expected to win against the opposition from a lower league. Bude look certain to be fighting for promotion in The Tribute Cornwall & Devon league during this season. This is yet another reason for The Hakes to have a consistent training ethic. It also raises the importance of running a reserve team if club ambitions are to be realised.
