Strong Squad for Bude Battle

Tomorrow brings down the curtain on a match that will have great significants for promotion hopes. Bude are basking in the sunshine of a large lead at the top, helped by the Hakes' deficit of five before the season began. This makes the result more important for St Ives. Both St Ives (H) and Bude (A) have to face Withycombe yet, so there are still stones to be overturned.

St Ives is able to pick a strong squad. The pack is largely unchanged from the success of last week. A powerful front row picks itself again; Tompsett, Taylor, Jenkins. Luke Collins locks out with Jamie Prisk. Todd Prisk moves to the back row. His lineout ability and mobility around the field will be an asset. Martyn Lawrance and Cameron Bone complete the forwards' line up.

Jason Jackson is back in the side. He had a great game against Falmouth and will be keen to prove himself once more. Head coach, Paul Thirlby continues at flyhalf. The rest of the backs are as for the Paignton game; Murray, Grant Thirlby, Nicholas, Conroy-Smith and Thomas.

The bench is Sean Stevens, Stuart Milliner and Guy Pallett. It is likely that all will be used.

Withycombe play bottom placed Newquay Hornets at home. Expect a big score and a bonus point win from them. They also have two games in hand on St Ives. This is a big weekend and we wish our lads success. The forecast is not brilliant. Your support would be really appreciated.

Kick off is at 2:30pm
