Meet Andrew Guthrie, part of the much wider rugby family. He plays for Greenock Wanderers U.18s in the West of Scotland Division South League at outside centre. He is also training with Glasgow Warriors Youth.

Andrew is going to be in St Ives for the summer season working on the boats from The Harbour. He needs a place to live during his stay, from mid May to late August. He would ideally like to be a part of a family or a shared house, paying about £80.00 a week.

Andrew found the club website and decided to contact the club as a result. Now that shows a degree of initiative and self confidence. Do you have a room spare and would you consider helping?

Andrew has already shown his love of the town by posting an instagram of St Ives. The number of 'likes' he has recieved means that he is advertising our beautiful haven. He is willing to help with any aspect of the rugby club as a way of repaying his gratitude. Can any of you set him up in your home?

This photo was taken last year during a match against Stewartry. (It took a bit of research, but I found him eventually).

Please share this post with anyone who might be able to offer accommodation and is not aware of the need.

If interested, please contact the club, myself or the Chairman, Andrew Baragwanath. Contact details can be found on the contact us > page.
