New Forwards Coach

Former St Ives and Premiership Hooker, Jimmy Stevens, announced as Forwards Coach.

St Ives RFC and Director of Rugby, Mal Roberts, are delighted to announce St Ives’ own Jimmy Stevens as Forwards Coach.

Jimmy, who started his career in the St Ives Youth Section before going on to play in the English Premiership with Leicester Tigers and London Irish, also representing England at age grade level. The Stevens family have a strong history at St Ives RFC, with Jimmy, both his brothers, Louis and Tony; and their father Louis all playing for the 1st XV.

Ian Sanders, Chairman of the Rugby Committee had this to say.

‘It’s fantastic to have Jimmy come in as our forwards coach, the knowledge and skills he will have picked up in his time in both the Premiership and the Championship will be such a benefit to our players, and our club. With Jimmy added to Mal Roberts coaching staff we really are seeing a first class coaching team form at St Ives. It’s great to see!’

All at St Ives RFC look forward to welcoming Jimmy into our coaching team.
