The Cornish Rebels rugby league team have beaten Devon Sharks in a close encounter by 28:26, to become the South West champions. After scoring a try late in the game, the visitors to Polson Bridge at Launceston should have converted to force extra time. Increduously, the kick was missed and referee Peter Clarke, blew for time shortly after the restart. Heartbreak for Devon, but joy for Cornwall.

No less than seven memebers of the Rebels squad were a part of The Hakes last season; Jamie Prisk, Martin Lawrance, Peter Mabbott, Lewis Thomas, Tom Murray, Dan Harry and Sam Bristow. Our congratulations to all of them.
