A Family Affair for the Gurnards

Today's win at Falmouth was about more than the score line.

Arthur Stevens made his 2nd XV debut, and in doing so gave his dad Tony Stevens something he's been waiting a long time for: a game alongside his son.

To make it even more special, uncle Louis pulled on the boots too. Three Stevens's on the pitch, one team, and a 33–12 away win to round it off!

And the family wasn't finished there. Back at Alexandra Road, Jimmy Stevens was flying the flag for the Hakes in the 1st XV.

📊 The Stevens family by the numbers:

Louis – 501 appearances

Tony – 439 appearances

Jimmy – 61 appearances

Arthur – 1 appearance (and counting!)

That's over 1,000 appearances for St Ives between the Stevens family. That's a remarkable contribution to this club, not to mention Louis Snr. and all his appearances!

This is exactly what club rugby is all about. Families, generations and memories made on the pitch.

Congratulations on your debut, Arthur, and here's to plenty more games together!

Up the Gurnards! Up the Hakes!
