Bude Return After Seven Years

St Ives welcome Bude RFC for the latest round in the Counties 1 Western West league this Saturday 2nd December. Currently lying 9th in the league, our visitors have won three games with their lone away victory, 16:18, at Falmouth. Finishing 4th in the Cornwall & Devon league in 2021-22 Bude were placed into the newly formed C1WW.

In 2015-16 Bude won the Cornwall & Devon league with St Ives being runners up. In that season they secured the double over St Ives. In the C1WW the following season honours were even with home wins to each club. That was the last time Bude came to St Ives, November 26th, 2016. For the home team only Jamie Prisk survives, while Bude still have the likes of Freddie Saxton, Charlie Watton and Olly Denford in their squad. On that day a young flyhalf, James Gott, accumulated 27pts, while Peter Mabbott and Tom Chandler scored seven tries between them.

Current form suggests that this could be a close encounter with just three places separating the teams in the league. Kick off is at 2:30pm.

Here are the teams for the game tomorrow.
